In 2007, Johnathon Shepherd began his career providing sales and services within the communications industry.
In 2008, Johnathon started his first business upon discovering the federal opportunities available to Veteran-owned businesses. As the majority owner in a Certified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Company, he and his wife, Jessica, worked side by side gaining knowledge and experience of the federal market. From 2008 to 2016, Johnathon worked day jobs in the technologies market for both commercial and federal prime-contractors to attain further experience. During nights and weekends Johnathon and Jessica focused on identifying and developing partnerships with large, federal prime-contractors and bidding on set-aside federal contracts. As their partnerships grew, Jessica managed the accounts during the day while Johnathon focused on responsibilities for his day job; then he assisted Jessica in the evenings to continue to build a solid foundation for the company he envisioned.
Then, in 2016, Johnathon decided to direct 100% of his efforts to his dream and in June, Americom Technologies Group was established. Americom Technologies Group was founded with the vision of having an organization that was capable of being a true “one stop shop” for all electrical and technologies related services and materials for industrial, commercial, and federal markets. This vision has lead Johnathon to find and employ an outstanding management team of industry experts with decades of experience in all related fields.
